BROOKVILLE — Losers of five of its last six games going into the postseason, the Brookville Raiders baseball team plays for the District 9 Class 3A title Wednesday.

With 11 of their 12 state-qualifying entries seeded in a top-eight scoring spot, the Brookville Raiders were seeded — on paper of course — with 59 team points.

BROOKVILLE — Carlie McManigle threw her first career no-hitter as the Brookville Lady Raiders softball team blanked visiting Bradford, 15-0, in five innings at Northside Field last Wednesday afternoon.

STRATTANVILLE — Over the past several seasons, the Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion baseball teams have met each other in the District 9 playoffs with the Wolves getting the better of the Lions in most instances.


BROOKVILLE — Continuing a dominating run, the Brookville Raiders piled up even more points and won their third straight title at last Friday’s District 9 Class 2A Track and Field Championships at the high school complex.

BROCKWAY — For the second straight day, the scheduled game for the Brookville Raiders baseball team at Brockway was wiped out because of rain and wet field conditions on Tuesday.
