Lions Club donates to Pediatric Unit at Penn Highlands DuBois

The DuBois Lions Club and the Bennetts Valley Lions Club recently donated a lion-inspired buggy to the Pediatrics Unit at Penn Highlands DuBois. The buggy is intended to make the journey to the Operating Room a little less scary for pediatric patients. Brielle Smith, 6, and Braden Smith, 4, both of New Bethlehem, Pa., were the very first patients to take a ride in the buggy. The siblings had their tonsils and adenoids removed. Shown in the back row are, from left, DuBois Lions Club members George Fatula Jr., Miles Kilmer, Linda Lupro, and Bennetts Valley Lions Club members Deborah Mitchell and Jill Chiappelli. Shown in the front row is Sara Christian, patient transport assistant at Penn Highlands DuBois, with patients Braden and Brielle.
