Mackenzie Lines and her guitar

DuBois Area High School senior Mackenzie Lines recently created an album of original songs entitled, “Sincerely Oblivion.” Lines did all the vocals and harmonies and plays guitar, keyboard and ukulele — all self-taught — for the album’s 10 songs.

DuBOIS — Mackenzie Lines, a senior at DuBois Area High School, made it through the first round of the Talent Show in the DuBois Martin’s Store as well as the semi-finals at the district level in Altoona. She is now ready to face off with the other finalists to go for the grand prize of $5,000 at the Giant/Martin’s Annual Business Meeting in Harrisburg in mid-March.

The finalists will perform live in front of leaders from across Giant/Martin’s, who will serve as audience and judge.

“We were allowed to do any of our talents so I just played one of my original songs off of my album,” said Lines, who has worked at Martin’s for about 1 1/2 years.
