An Ephrata man will spend up to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl and for a DUI crash last year, according to the Lancaster County district attorney's office.
Freedom Dowlin, 20, must also register his whereabouts under Megan's Law for the rest of his life, Judge Howard Knisely ruled after accepting his guilty plea in court Tuesday.
Dowlin was 19 during the assault of the 15-year-old girl at a May 27, 2017, party at a home on Horseshoe Road in East Lampeter Township, according to the district attorney's office.
Dowlin pleaded guilty to four felonies in exchange for a sentence of 5 to 10 years in prison and two years of probation. He also must pay $3,455 in restitution.
He also pleaded guilty to driving drunk during a vehicle crash that seriously injured a passenger Jan. 14, 2017, in East Cocalico Township, according to the district attorney's office.
