SLIGO – Sligo Borough Authority officially adopted its 2020 budget at its January meeting last week because the group did not have a quorum in December.

CLARION – 2019 ended on a high note for the Clarion County Jail, as the Paint Township facility finished the year more than $228,000 under budget.

EAST BRADY – In an effort to bring together the local police department, firefighters and the community, a five-team basketball tournament will be held this Saturday evening at the old East Brady High School gymnasium.

NEW BETHLEHEM – The first meeting of the new year witnessed Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce members discussing the full slate of events planned in the community during 2020.

BROCKWAY — The Redbank Valley wrestling team competed with a heavy heart Tuesday night and used a strong team effort to help lift up head coach Mike Kundick with an emotional 43-33 victory at Brockway.

NEW BETHLEHEM — The Redbank Valley Lady Bulldogs kept their winning streak going and pushed it to five games with Monday night’s 77-19 rout of Venango Catholic.

OIL CITY — Putting together a two-game winning streak for the first time all season, the Redbank Valley Bulldogs basketball team took care of Venango Catholic in a 56-32 win Monday night.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team dropped a tight 82-76 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division decision on the road last Saturday afternoon at Seton Hill University.
